Aidan & Casper's 1000km Journey

Aidan & Casper's 1000km Journey

Meet Aidan & Casper

Best friends that finished their A levels wanted to do something slightly different than go out and party.

Both Aidan and Casper had a dream and vision to cycle in aid of Dorothy House Hospice who provides palliative and end of life care to patients with life-limiting illnesses.

What better time to do this as Dorothy House Hospice celebrates their 50th year anniversary.

What Did They Do?

Aidan and Casper set themselves a very ambitious goal to cycle from Bilbao (Spain) to St Malo (France).

The goal was very simple to cycle 1000km, in 10 days, cycling 100km per day. All while attempting to raise £10,000

Not only did they they smash the challenge, they decided to go that one step further and cycle 160km further over 2 days once they got off the ferry and back on home soil in the UK.

So Where Do We Come In?

Not only did we receive a DM, but also an email, from Aidan and Casper explaining what they were going to be doing, while asking for any sponsors or donations.

Our response?

This was by far the easiest yes we've ever had to make, as it has been a dream of ours to help support people doing something amazing, while helping them recover.

What Was The Process?

We responded to both the DM and email and decided to set up a video call with Aidan and Michael (the founder)

We got to learn more about the story and why they wanted to do this challenge and it was truly inspiring .

After we finished the call, we were very honoured to send Aidan and Casper a pair of our Compression Boots, to really fast forward their recovery.

To see the daily updates on their journey while constantly in high spirits, regardless of how arduous the challenge was or the 40 degree soring heat, is nothing short of inspirational.

To be apart of this amazing journey with Aidan and Casper has been a complete joy to see.

We can't wait to see what they do next, as well as help other people that have a great challenge for a great cause.

Why Is Recovery Important?   You already know the script by now, work hard, recover harder. Saying that "recover harder" can sound like a slogan until you break down what it actually buys you.  No ...
